Well, I just finished two weekends worth of work on my new reloading bench for the new Dillon Super 1050 that just arrived, along with some goodies.

Here are a few pics.

The old bench:

Whew.. that old bench was a nightmare.

Tore it out and started building new. Everything was done with construction grade 2x4 lumber and pocket hole screws. Not totally done yet, another weekend left to finish the upper shelves then build doors.

In case you don't get the idea, I really like overbuilding stuff. You can never go wrong by making somthing stronger then it needs to be.

Shelves are the perfect height for the 1050 toolhead.

I have gotten all the shelves in now, but dont have pics yet. I will take some more when the doors are up.

Heres a quick video of the 1050 loading 9mm.

Bench = EPIC.

Nice work, Brother! I love my 1050 and I know you will too - especially with that much space, and such a well-built setup!

So let me get this straight. You went from a lee turret press to a dillon 1050????? WTF???? Sorry I am currently using a turret right now and shoot a couple hundred rounds of pistol a week, but could never justify the 1050. Did you just fall into money or are you shooting a hell of alot? LOL

The extensive use of roller cabinets and power bars tells me you are about to achieve the coveted Jedi loading bench status.
Load and prosper may you long.:D

The turret press was not enough for me, and now I am going to be loading for two other familys who are close with us. Works out well.

Part of it is also the ability to spend less time to do the same amount of ammo. Makes a huge difference if you can put out enough ammo for a month or two in an hour of loading.

It is pretty f*cking manley though I must admit.

Anyways, I got doors built, but I need to pick up hinges from the hardware store. Will take some pics then.

I had been putting it off, so tonight I finally spent three hours tonight getting the press set up to load 30-06.

Most awesome machine out there.

It is quite literally no harder to load 30-06 then it is to load 9mm. Silky smooth pulls on the handle, similar in weight to the Lee press due to the added leverage and springs assisting the motion.

Did I mention that this was the most awesome machine out there...? :D

I will try to get a video this weekend of it in action. I can seriously stare at it for hours just looking at all the mechanics of the machine work, but I would run out of ammo to load too quickly. R:d:
