Yeah I was kind of hoping that it was some common mistake that new owners make. I took it apart and had a look at the trigger group, something is just not moving properly in there. I don't know the name of the part but one of the pieces next to the hammer appears to be bent. Called the guy I got it from and it should be going back tomorrow.
As noted in John's post, I had a similar issue that prevented the trigger from resetting. In my instance the round pin noted by the green arrow had come loose and fallen off. After pressed back on, it continued to fall off with regular usage. I since returned the firearm.
