New Remington 700s to ship with Timney Impact trigger

Huh!

if its a legit, clean and crisp 3-4 pounds its better than what they ship with lol.

Probably plenty of end users who are going to be very happy with that! The guy who was gonna throw his trigger out and replace it wth a TriggerTech Diamond probably still will haha.

Wonder if the non-adjustability is also to keep the costs down, even though they must be buying in real bulk.

This is unfortunate that over the years these rifles have changed from the best factory installed fully adjustable trigger to a non adjustable aftermarket piece of trash imo.

Its a sad statement of the times alright.

But considering having the Walker trigger professionally tuned is likely to cost as much and take a lot longer than just dropping the X-Mark Pro into the round file bin and installing a TriggerTech, no big deal to me.

I get how one can be accustomed to something better than a 3-4 lb pull with a reasonably crisp break though.

I wasn't a huge fan of the Walker or X-Mark Pro. A adjustable Timney would be awesome. Not sure why they just didn't use a normal Timney.

Guessing its the almighty dollar. Every other rifle company with an adjustable trigger seems to be doing just fine at not being sued into oblivion.

True. But at the same time, look how dumb the average 20 year old kid is now versus 20 years ago? Remember Tide Pods? There's a reason the world has to be nerfed.

They are using the Elite triggers on the Alpha 1 and Police models, so that's good. But I do wish the rest of them got "real" Timney triggers. I've never even heard of the Impact trigger before.

We are bein' nerfed thanks to the global weather manipulation (Geoengineering) by the Bilderberg Group & US Military Complex that's been going on for many years but has ramped up huge since 2010. Couple that with the BS, forced vaccinations and ye know we be fooked. Sick times fer sure.
f:P:

As for Rem 700 triggers, I've dialed in plenty of units with the older Walker trigger that worked great without issue. The later versions worked fine for me as
well. Main thing with any trigger mechanism is to keep it clean & lubed with a light oil like Jet Lube 12/34 or Hoppes Number 9. Compressed air be yer friend.;)

The triggers on the new 700's be easily swapped out for a Timney or TriggerTech adjustable unit.

Why would somone buy a new production Rem 700 SPS when a Howa or Tikka can be had for less? Both have a ton of after market accessories now, if that is what you want.

Genuine question, not being flippant.

I've followed 'Google' instructions and tuned several M700 factory triggers to excellent trigger weight.

The only people that believe the factory Remington trigger is crap are people that have never tried to adjust them. They are excellent and easy to tune.

Could be for the new rem it’s cheaper just to buy a trigger group rather then make one yourself.

Don’t really know to many aftermarket actions that have in house triggers?

Look at how stupid boomers are today. The Tide Pod challenge was a joke until stupid boomers blew it up and it spread to people who weren't in on the joke.

Also the majority of deaths attributed to laundry detergent Pods are involving seniors with dementiaand children, not teenagers. But whatever, cling to a meme from 5 years ago, that clearly gives you a good idea of what 20 year Olds are actually doing...

When the SPS is on sale at some places, like SFRC, it is cheaper than both.

I prefer the 700 to the Vanguard. Plenty of reasons to like both, that can be pretty easily articulated.

^ Right ^ ..... Why not try them 1st before all the crying and whining?

If it breaks clean at the target pull weight, it will be fine for most shooters including me.

Bet they are easier to get a few bucks for compared to the X-Mark Pro trigger if you end up replacing it too.
