New Remington 700's

Anyone purchase a new Remington 700? What are your thoughts? Any issues with the rifle? Any feedback is appreciated.

Also Ill add... anyone seen any one sale?

The SPS still has a matte finish that really ain't as nice as blued...but its better than it was before "RemArms". Bolts seem to be smooth, triggers are still X-Mark Pros but better, at least to me. You can tell the difference between when they stopped using leftover parts.

Haven't shot one so can't say much but never had a 700 shoot badly out of the couple I've owned.

I think Dante's had one on their list. 243, with a fast twist, which is definately an improvement. - dan

Yep, the new Remingtons chambered in .243 ship with a 1-8 twist rate. Really opens up some options.

They have gone with 8 twist and lengthened the magazine box from 2.8” to 3" which really is a huge improvement.

Ya it was a bummer for my buddy, gun had sentimental value.
Anyway he replaced it with an xbolt

And like the vast majority of owners it didn't happen to you. Like some of the others here who have shot numerous barrels off of quite a few of em...

0% worried about it. And if the overall fit and finish of the rifles is any indication...yeah, probably did a good brazing job.

Just bought a new xbolt SS 7 RM, it’s slick.

Pretty sure I've become a Tikka guy here but have a huge soft spot for the 700 Classic models.

Haven’t shot this one yet, but I’ve owned to others and they are nice.
A bit nicer than the Tikka.
Tikka wins in aftermarket support though,

I do like the Tikkas as well.

The regular wood stocked Hunter or the Stainless Stalker must be a really good buy

Where did you see 20 broken Remington bolts? Did you work warranty for Gravel?

Stainless Stalker for $1450 plus I had $550 Crappy tire pesos , so $950 + txs.
