Well someone seems to have ####ed up.... perhaps we'll get lucky and it really is non-restricted but I'll have to hold off on believing this until I have one in my hands and I'm shooting gophers with it while an RCMP officer chears me on hand hands me another loaded mag

Maybe, however, the Valmet is EXEMPTED from the restricted list by name. The R15 is not, and will be restricted as an AR15 variant.

Only an OIC can change the status at this point, I'm afraid. And we all know how likely THAT is at this point.
