Basically they took the one size closed top receiver from the Savage Axis and combined it with the savage style barrel nut and then gave it the savage accu-trigger and claim it's "from the same minds that brought you the Remington 700".

It has a crappy integrated plastic trigger guard just like the Axis.

At least the magazine release is NOT plastic!

Looks kind of like a stealth fighter though!

"from the same minds that brought you the Remington 700"

Well, if those minds decide to copy the Savage Axis or an SKS or go into the cereal business it's true, the idea comes from the same minds that brought you the Remington 700.

And it happens that these are also the same minds that brought you the 710 and 770.

What's with the rash of cheap cr*p rifles being pumped out by manufacturers. This isn't progress, this is regression labeled as progress. They can keep it.

Personally as a sports shooter without a endless budget i am glad that more accurate
affordable quality rifles are comming out for us that cant drop 2000.00 on every whim

We dont need cheap entry level rifles, we need medium goods rifles at a cheap price, the 700 is almost an entry level with all that QC mumbo jumbo let go, offer an ok 700 @ 399.00 they dont worth more, you will sell a tons of them... JP.

These are affordable, as in cheap, they don't offer value (they definitely aren't quality or any more accurate). If you're on a budget the last thing you can afford is to waste your money. These are Ikea guns, nothing more. If someone came looking for advice on an entry level rifle I'd point them to a used Husky from Tradex, light years ahead even if 50years older. Remington, Savage, and the rest will continue to pump out garbage and up sell it as progress so long as people spend their cash on it. This also drags on the quality of their other offerings as their standards drop knowing people don't expect more. There's nothing worse to discourage a new shooter than being hobbled by crappy gear.

And one should understand that buying cheap is not a money saving proposition, it is money waiste proposition... JP.

This gun won't exist in 50 years as it will be a broken pile of parts, unlike what has been circulated in the last 50 years will be around for hundreds with care

Shortly the goobers that buy this garbage will be bragging about how their el cheapo POS, topped with a Tasco or Bull:bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug:nell hunk of crap is soo accurate. Sigh...
