Very nice gun. I wish I could just like around $2000 for a gun/scope package. Must be nice. I guess I could but I don't want to yet. Well have fun with it. Did it come painted like that or did you paint it?

It comes down to priorites on how you spend your money.

I don't have alot of fancy electronics or a brand new truck.......

The stock was painted by the Premier Sea to Sky Stock Painting Co., Poole Creek Precision;)

I guess that is very true. I don't have fancy guns or scopes, but I do have fancy electronics. Makes me think if I should hold off on the fancy electronics and buy a great gun/scope or keep the cheap guns and get the fancy stuff I would use more then my guns.

Well Its a great paintjob. Maybe one day I will get my Savage 30-06 painted and see how that works out for me.

One relaly good rifle and scope canlast you your whole life, and you can pass it to your kids.

Electronics are junk in a year or 2, Same with mountina bikes, skis etc....

Buying one GOOD rifle and scope will teach youhow ot shoot and bring home the meat, far better than 30 crap guns;)

Gatehouse, I just down loaded the Remington trigger adjustment instructions off of the internet so that I could adjust the trigger of my new Rem 700 Police 223 rifle. http://www.quarterbore.com/library/articles/rem700trigger.html

I use my digital fish scale to check trigger pull weight . It is extremely easy to adjust a Rem trigger. The most important part is to have the correct size screw driver.

The finished trigger should have no creep but a tiny amount of spring back when you touch the trigger slightly backwards. It took me about 10 minutes to adjust the trigger and some of my wife's nail polish to lock the 3 adjustment screws in place. I set the trigger to 2.7 lbs...
