New Restrictohib rifle!

I'm not sure what the appeal is, if you want to shoot 7.62 x 39 just wait for wolverine to bring in the 958 or for the gvt to move the 858 back to nr.
I have a nice 858 with a trijicon rmr and fab stock and handguard, sweet shooter to 200 yards with a 25 yard zero.
Yah its 4 moa, but who cares, the rmr is 4 moa dot anyways. Big fat dot, easy to pick up and see, fast to shoot, doesn't bug up, light.

So just to make sure i understand your point,

what you are saying is you would rather see the Canadian market restrict itself to just one or two guns of any given caliber, as long as you, mikethebike, are happy with the ones available (or that you think will someday become legal).....rather than just have more variety from which to choose from?

Please tell me, what other areas of our lives should we ajust to your standards and opinions?

Hey I got an idea....don't like it? Don't buy it. And let the rest of the world do whatever they want. I'm sure you'll be fine.

As impractical as it would be in Canada; range-only (best case scenario) rifle that uses AK mags, if this hit our market, I would be extremely tempted to finally break my restricted rifle embargo. I wonder how well a DI gas system holds up to corrosive surplus ammo, though.

While I've seriously considered a Vz 58, can't say I've ever cared for back-assward Czech safeties. But I agree with the previous point, variety is a good thing; don't like it, don't buy it, the rest of us should be free to make our own decisions.

Hickok45 must just have a lot of disposable income to buy/review these toys, as he is certainly not any kind of expert. In most of his videos he either ignorantly babbles some blatant misinformation, or says "I don't know" several times.

Sorry for the slight derail, didnt even watch this link to his "review" of this rifle. Watched a few other ones, seems like a fun rifle (then again, most are!)

Sakonut... Hicock45 knows a lot about guns... He gets a lot of them from different sponsors... So before you talk crap about Hickock45 know whacha talkin about... And surely he knows way way more than u....

I think Hickok gives very good, honest, down to earth reviews of firearms. I very much enjoy them.

I like his videos a lot better than some of the other retards that run around with all their tac gear on yelling "Contact" and pretending they're in a firefight.

What about the Armalite 180b, that seems to be the only non-restricted AR other then the Modern hunter from alberta tactical rifle. Its not an AK mag though, but still BADA$$.

AR180B is not AR-15 there are fundamental differences. IIRL AR-18 was design to circumvent the AR-15 patent

Agreed its not a 'true AR' but as far as non restricted that 'looks as close to AR' platform this is it IMO.

We cant get a FN FAL in canada but a close second in looks is the SG 542, and it seems that the looks of a gun is a strong selling point here in canada.

If this thing is hitting our shelves in January, as per Questar, you can bet it's restricted; no new FRT is being issued.

And I still very much want one.
