I think these have RB frames, and use those adapter grips to go from RB to SB design. Not positive though, but I have faint recall of reading an article where it was stated that S&W wasn't making SB N frames anymore. - dan
just noticed that 6.5" bbl versions of the n-frame s&w's are released this month in 44 spcl and 45 colt. think im going to go with the special myself

I just asked in the dealers section. I'd like to hold one first, though. The grip looks kind of fat, or something, to me. Perhaps I'm too used to the 'cowboy' grip on my single action revolver.
