Money Is No Object Gun
The thing you should do first is think of, why you want this gun?
What would you want to do with the gun?
Go to the range, hunt, or both?
Do you want to carry it hunting, or sit in a blind?
Do you like light and handy guns or heavy and cumbersome anvils?
Do you like or dislike recoil, what cal do you need?
Do you like Stainless or Blued guns?
Wood or synthetic furniture?
Is it the only really fine firearm you would or could ever own?
Do you feel a firearm is a status symbol, or don't feel you have to impress others, or just personal satisfaction?
This is how I look at things.
I have had over two thousand guns over the years. I look at the military guns for reliability in any type of condition. I look at commercial firearms for beauty, fit to the shooter, and feel of the trigger, and recoil of the caliber.
I would have something built in a 6.5X55 or 7X57 or 7-08. I would have a bolt action, a beautiful piece of walnut for a stock, and a caliber that will kill anything I point at. Optics that are top quality and easy to use. It would be something that feels like a part of me, and I could shoot all day without developing a flinch.
That's my two cents.
