New rifle for my collection..

I went out and bought a Ruger #1 in .458 Win today. As well, I picked up a few hundred 500gr Hornady Interbonds to try out. Does anyone have a good hunting story using a .458, or the 500gr pills?

Gibbs, Lebaron is having a no tax sale on now. When I saw they had the 500gr. Interbonds marked down to $23 for a box of 50, I bought all they had. It was hard to wipe the grin off my face as I paid for them, lol..

Hi guy. Thats quite a bargin day price. I have a couple of OLD boxes of Hornady 500gr RN with a price sticker of $23.00. Just 'tried' some out, 5 only. Loads were 70gr IMR 3031, CCI 250 primers, WW cases, C.O.L. 3.310". Shot them out of the Brno, try the in the model 70 next. Got some more cast loads to try, when the weather permits. I'll let you know how they turn out. Let me know how your #1 is to shoot.
