Got a question for ya. How heavy is the rig? Is it too much to take on a hunt every now and then?

Can't answer for him on the hunting part but the weight, without optics or ammo, is 8 5/32 lbs (24" tube) / 8lbs (20" tube) , much less than my rem 700 VLS.

8 pounds is not bad at all! I carry guns all day in the woods that weigh more then that. That rifle may be my next purchase.
