new rifle please help!!!

Well I made my purchase...thank u to everyone who chimed in on the topic.....I went with a tikka t3 laminated stainless in 30-06 b/c although the finnlight is awesome I couldn't justify that kind of money for one week out of the year....and I own and have owned tikka's in the past which have always been more than accurate enough for me...this is however my first in laminated and I personally love the look...thanks again to everyone who chimed in!!!

Congratulations. Good choice of rifle and caliber for moose and deer. Now, what will you scope it with? I think VXll 3x9x40 is a great choice. May I recommend, from personal experience, the LRD (Long Range Duplex)??

I have a Sako M85 Finnlight s/s,30-06, with a 3.5x10 40mm OL mounted as low as possible. No issues with anything in the 5 years I've had it, shoots an inch@100 with 168gr TSX-BT's. The other Sako M 85 is also s/s in 9.3x66 and has a 6x42 Leupold scope on it, again zero issues with it and it will shoot an inch @ 100yds with 250gr AccuBond's.

these rifles are excellent tools for the task at hand, the 30-06 rides on the handlebar mount on my Quad through rain ,snow, dust gets bounced around lots and zero issues with rifle, mounts or scope. Although I did break one of the mounts ( rifle mount on quad) through rough usage.

If it was my 2g I would get the finnlight the regular one is just as good but the flutes in the barrel are nice.....to look at.

I may just use the scope I have which is a bushnell 3200 elite 3-9x40...it has never given me any issues...unless of course I decide to put a silver scope on instead
