700 5R mil-spec is a great way to go, so is the Bergara and Tikka, and the Savage LRP. What I suggest is go to your local gun store and try a few out and buy one. Sitting and listening to opinions is great but everybody has there personal preference. I've been a Remington 700 guy for a long time. However, my Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard I picked up not that long ago has blown me away in how well rounded it is. When I build a custom rifle (hopefully next year) It's going to be a Big Horn TL3 because it ticks all of my boxes that I want, controlled round feed, mechanical ejector, integral recoil lug, floating bolt head, external bolt stop, selectable bolt handles, stainless (with the option of nitride coating) and set up for Savage pre-chambered barrels! Does it make it the absolute action out there? No, does it make it best for me because I like their design? Yes! The big factor will be when I try one out at SHOT show. The point is, get out there, play with a few and buy one! If you don't like it, as long as your aren't throwing it off cliffs you can always sell it!
