I got round to cleaning my new BVSS before taking it to the range. This is only my 5th brand new centre fire rifle but I was amazed at how dirty the barrel was. It took a lot of patches alternating between M pro 7, hoppes benchrest and #9 to get it even close to being clean. And I'm not done yet. The hoppes benchrest patches were coming out blue which indicates copper or something similar?
I have had less cleaning todo after firing 30 to 40 rounds at the range. I understand that it may have been test fired and could well have sat around at the distributors/dealers for a long time but wondered if others have experienced this.
I'm not concerned as I have'nt shot it yet, just wondered if others have had similar experience.
