New rifle - what optic should I get?

Wanstalls does and many other sponsors. Do not waste your your money on the Vortex when you can save buying the CMR and get everything you need in a mid range 1-4x. Even the Millett DMS has a better sight picture. The PST is way over priced for what your get but it has the cool factor. Don't even bother with Vortex unless your willing to dive into Razor glass.

I disagree....had the millet was POS mold inside the tube crap glass mushy clicks, the CMR is just ok, my vortex is super clear and bright I have three 1 2.5/10 and 2 1/4 pst's and all have zero stops

I have two PST at home, and had three Razors and the new 2.5 - 10 for a week at work. All great. Shot the 1-6 Razor and the 2.5 to 10 in a match in a huge downpour. Worked great.

The PST are great value for the money. I had one minor issue with my first HS and Vortex Canada send me a new one with less than a 24 hr turn around. I'm going to get a 1-4 for my next 18 inch build.

Hi-Lux CMR 7.62 reticle. From Wolverine
Sightron SIII 1-7. From Mystic Precision

When I was shopping I ended up with the Hi-Lux as it has great glass and has more features than most others that are double the price. I now have a Elcan Specter DR as well and it is f'n amazing.

You won't get a scope with a calibrated reticle that will work with x39 and 5.56 so buy your M4 it's own optic. It deserves it and swapping glass is a pain in the ass since you will need to remember click corrections to re-zero each time you swap it.

Nice rifle. I just bought the non-pretencious black version ; 0
I just ordered the nikon p223 3-9 X 40 so I m gonna go ahead and suggest that scope. Lol
J/k. I love this gun. Plus I fiqure if the nikon doesn t cut it as a lead-vectoring death-dealer, then it will still take decent stills. :)
