Today I was in Kamloops with time to waste, so of course I ended up in Wholesale Sports. It wasnt too busy, so I looked at several rifles and was underwhelmed. First off I like wood blue, and presently own six rifles in that configeration. The first was a Win. supergrade where the barrel channel was'nt even on both sides. Then a Kimber which was the same, next Browning X bolt, the same,Then a Sako Finnlite with plastic stock, same condition but you could move the stock to touch the barrel with finger pressure. Then the sales person asked if I would like to see a Cooper which I didnt know Wholesale carried. I have been drooling over them at Sako Alberta website. They brought a new in the box from the backroom. The barrel was centered but the safety was so stiff I put a hole in my thumb trying to operate it, on closer inspection it was broken and has to be shipped back. Maybe im too pickey but it seems quality control is not there or was I just having a bad day?
