Looks very nice.

Persoanlly, I'd change the trigger to a McCormick alumunim & the extended safety lever for a standard & new grips [double diamond hardwood] but otherwise she looks good to go as is.

I do like the hi-viz sites are they 3 dot?

Who's got them available for sale in Canada & how much?

NAA.

If it were mine, I'd put in a regular GI guide rod and recoil spring plug. Other than that, it seems to be a nice combination of features. I like the fact that it has regular slide serrations; not really coarse ones and/or on the front of the slide.

RIA 1911s are manufactured by the same company that builds the Spartan for STI, so yes, they are good pistols. ARMSCOR in the Philippines.

Armscorp does make decent pistols for the price, no doubt about it. But the STI Spartan is really a different beast than any of the other guns that Armscorp produces.

The Spartan uses a forged slide where as Armscorp's 1911s have slided made form extruded metal. Still decent slides; just worth noting that they are different than the guns they produce for STI. Also FWIW, all of the Spartans have STI internal components, not Armscorp and STI does a final QC (and tweaking if necessary) on all of the Spartans in their US shop, once they arrive form the Philippines, before they get shipped out to dealers.

So Armscorp guns are good, just not quite in the same league as the Spartan. Still great guns for the money though.
