New Rogue Bullpup M14 - NOT A CHASSIS! by Bula defence

Couldn't get the page to load, but as long as the firearm can't be discharged without the bullpup Rogue X stock and its an actual factory rifle designed from the ground up as a bullpup it should get approved. If an actual M14 will drop into it, then it won't. :(

"Juggernaut Tactical’s Rogue system turns a standard M1A rifle into a close-quarters weapon, providing an incredibly short overall package with a simple drop in design"

Prohib.

it's confusing: in the video, the Bula rep goes out of his way to say that the Rogue X is NOT an M14/M1A chassis, but a "complete custom M14-style action" in a bullpup chassis. But then Juggernaut's advertising calls it a chassis for M14 rifles

I mean if they cut the back of the receiver off and used the back of the bullpup stock as the bolt carrier buffer that would solve the "bullpup stock" issue.

But its an American product so I cant see why it wouldn't just be a drop in kit.

I am under the impression that it is not the original chassis system, but something new altogether- a new custom M14 "STYLE" action. If it is a drop in system for a standard M14 action, then yes, obviously that would be prohib.

The one they show is the Gen 2 Juggernaut, H20man picked up the Gen 1 and reviewed it back in 2013 or whenever it came out.

It's a little refined but still locks onto the M14 receiver and trigger group.

I am under the impression it may not lock into a standard M14 action and that they are using a new design. Cause that's what the rep says in the video. If this is true it may be a candidate for Non restricted.

Yea, even if they use an "M14 style action" that still means it's more or less an M14 action, so the RCMP will most likely classify it as such. Same thing with an "AR style action" regardless of what people call it, if it takes AR uppers, it's still restricted.

I guess what I am trying to say is, I do not think it will take an "M14 upper". If it does then yes for sure it will be prohibited, if it doesn't then it may still be prohibited or it may be nonrestricted(still years away from our hands). I totally grasp the concept of what would make this prohibited and at the end of the day it's up to the lab. Since none of us have actually handled or disassembled this rifle, we are all just speculating anyways. Either way I was just posting a new concept for the M14 platform that looks fairly innovative.

Cheers!

It wouldn't even be based on if it is an M14.

If the firearm inside the bullpup can be fired without the stock, it's prohib... M14 or fancy new gun.

A pipe-dream but CPC has said they will review laws that do not promote public safety. I don't see how prohibiting a chassis system is a public safety issue.

If only...

Hahaha.

If it was actually about public safety then AR's wouldn't be restricted. AK's wouldn't be prohib, surpressors would be legal, no magazine caps...

It is a drop-in, the chassis is the same one that's been around for years. I don't see this ever changing for us.

Again, if you watch the video, the Bula rep goes out of his way to tell the interviewer that the Rogue X is not a drop in chassis for the M14/M1A but a complete bullpup rifle from the factory with a completely custom M14 style action.

...but whether it will be legal here will remain to be seen.

Alright, what I regret to do then, is tell you, at this current time, that the Rogue/Juggernaut/etc.. chassis is a 'drop in chassis' and that's (as far as the RCMP are concerned) is it.

IF (big IF) they were to build a receiver that were NOT an M14 (cut, modified or whatever), then it could be unrestricted, then good to go, but until then...sorry.

Haha, yes correct the original Juggernaught was for sure a drop in chassis for the M14. This is not the same chassis, the video, if you watch appears to be showing a new chassis that sounds like it may take a proprietary receiver that may not be able to be fired independently of the chassis. The rep only says it twice in the video so it's hard to catch.
