New RPAL after long wait

SUX to live in Bantario! When I applied for both PAL and RPAL had it in hand 35 days after mailing and none of my references were called.

Well my application was received on Jan 26 2010, and I'm getting it probably Monday Mar 1 (friday feb 26 2010 if I am super lucky!) mar 1 would be 35 days as well.
The 5 months im referring too, is sept 29 is the day I went to the range to sign up for the CFSC, then I had to wait till late oct to take that, then mid November to take the restricted course, then wait about 8 weeks for my test results to come back stamped from the firearms office, then I was finally able to submit my application on Jan 22 I think i mailed it. So the ENTIRE process took about 5 months. Both of my references were called too.

I'm still anxiously awaiting mine. Going to call in as soon as the 28 day mandatory wait day is up and see whats up.

Midnight on day 29 the site said mine was approved (as screenshot in post 1)
the more you guys call the more time the agents spend taking to you and less time processing you applications, its like a kid asking in a car "are we there yet ? are we there yet?" ..you guys are not going to speed up the process. I am not trying to be rude or single anyone out, but just keep that in mind.

You know I thought about that but after hearing all these stories of people not receiving any notification for months, only to find out that their application is missing or incomplete and really just had to call in anyway, kinda discerning. With that said, I'll probably wait until at least the 45 day mark before asking them the status, if they haven't updated my online status or called me.
I do think your right though. The more times you call the more time they spend on the phone and not processing your app.
I live in Ontario, and I got my Non-Restricted, and Restricted about 4-5 years ago. I had my License in my hand in about 7 weeks, from the day I passed my course to the day I purchased my first gun, start to finish. I geuss things have changed.
Sorry but my experience is the opposite. After a 3 month wait i called and after a few questions i was told they would accept my application and issue my license. 20 mins later the CFC site stated my license was issued.I would bet my application wasnt at the top of the pile.

Yea I had my interview shortly after my apication was recieved too. If all goes well you'll probably be approved on day 29
Why do the test results take that long?
For both my PAL and RPAL test results I had a copy the day of the testing...
sorry but you just proved my point.... your call made the guy who should have been at the top of the list wait a lil longer, because you called ... my point was that the more people who call will slow down the application process in general .....anyways no sense
In Ontario we get our tests results right away (the instructor marks it infront of us, at least he did for me) then the instructor retains the results and sends them into the firearms office, then 8 weeks later (I took the non restricted and restricted course about a month apart, took about 5 weeks for each test to come back) i got the test results back with a stamp from the office on them. Then the stamped results is what you have to submit with your application.

I got my stamped marks a week after my instructors sent them off.
I guess I'm not sure why my copy needs to be stamped to be 'proper'?
The day I was tested I completed the rest of my paperwork and mailed it, 25 days later I had an RPAL in my mailbox (myself and both references contacted).
I'm okay with the way we do it here
