New Ruger Canadian PC Carbines

Why the hell cant we get this one in .40?
I'll be importing I guess.

Ruger is not offering the free-floating handguard on the 40 cal rifles (only the original version). We have orders in place for the 40 cal rifles, which should be here later this summer.

This looks a lot closer to it if they extended handguard

Indeed. Unfortunately, the handguard was only available in one length, so the Canadian barrel will protrude a couple of inches.

Ruger is being stupid.
I'll keep waiting for them to regain their sense.
Cash in hand for a free floated .40....wake up Ruger.

Any chance the 40 S&W barrel and bolt-face will be available as separate parts to ad to our original 9 mm Ruger PC Carbine?

It would be cool to have two caliber options in one great rifle!......:)

Is this even possible?

Nothing listed at this time. Ruger is fairly tight on releasing parts for sale. Most all part changes/upgrades have to occur at the factory, or country specified warranty center.

Good day Nutters,

We have good news - after much discussion with Ruger, we are pleased to announce the new PC Carbine featuring a free-float handguard is available with a non-restricted length barrel. Additionally, the new .40 S&W is also being offered with a non-restricted length barrel. We are placing orders this week with Ruger - expect to see these at your dealers late summer.

any further update on a more specific date when these will be available ?

I would seriously give consideration to giving up body parts if they came out with a newer version of the .44 Mag Carbine

So would we... a modern 44 carbone would be a huge hit with deer hunters all over Eastern Canada.

Have one and using for Steel Challenge. Shots beautifully, absolutely reliable. With a comp on it is even better!

Post a photos! Which comp are you using? We haven't seen a lot of these on the line at the Steel Challenge matches we have attended.
