New Ruger GP100 .22lr

im not seeing a lot of difference between the GP100-22 and the SP101-22 other then barrel length and different front sites, and bigger cylinder capacity.

Hope the trigger rocks.

... or at the very least, hope that it is an improvement over the very heavy 22LR SP101 trigger pull.

The increase to a 10 round cylinder is very nice, yet the MSRP price bump of $110 USD above the aforementioned SP101
must surely push these little beauties close to, or even above the $1,000 mark CDN :(

(and at that price point, I am far more tempted to look at more affordable offerings from Taurus, or nicer offerings from Smith and Wesson)

EDIT:

Scanning about the Ruger website, I was pleasantly surprised to see an SR-22 pistol sporting a Canadian-friendly 4.5" non-Pinocchio barrel!

Size, capacity and a new firing pin hammer geometry for a lighter trigger pull are the main differences.
