Came across these pictures. Looks like a new design for disassembly.

They've got to do something. The S&W Victory is so easy to disassemble for cleaning.
Though looks like they kept the sharp ends on the back of the receiver.
EDIT: After seeing .22 Plinksters video on the Ruger Mk IV, it's even EASIER to take down. This is now on my list to get.. well.. as soon as my Colt MRR is paid off... :) The list gets longer.

Just finished watching 22 Plinkster's review of the Mk IV...no brainer take down with only one button, better trigger, no LCI, able to use older mags and rail mount for a red dot/scope, & one piece stainless steel or aluminum frame. Aftermarket parts (trigger, etc.) shouldn't take too long to be available. I am curious to see what the Cdn price will be.

And don't forget the ambi safety for us lefties!
Ruger's site lists MRP at $529. (US) for blued & aluminum grip frame. and $689. (US) for the all stainless target model.

usually takes 6 months to a year for us to see the new stuff from Ruger up here.
so im guessing January at the earliest before we see these new ones.

im not gonna like, im gonna pick one up as soon as i see it.

I'm in the market for my first .22lr pistol and I was thinking about the S&W Victory earlier but then I saw this announcement. Should I try to get the S&W or wait for this????? I just saw that my RPAL got approved today :)

I would wait honestly. The Mark series are awesome (not knocking the S&W) and beautiful guns.
