I was looking at the 2007 ruger catalog and noticed a tricked out mini target model with a heavy barrel and adjustable weight. has anyone had any direct experience with one of these and what would they be going for ?

Cool looking piece of iron. I wonder how it performs

Many threads on this new rifle, I actually held it in my hands & played with it..THe only cool thing about it, it is non-restricted.

It feels long & is quite heavy.

OL magazine did one of their gun tests on it, i think they were getting about 1" or 1 1/2" groups

For those who think that stock is fugly - The Ruger site now lists a second target model with a Hogue overmold stock.

That barrel stabilizer still looks weird though....

I have seen the Hogue version out there as well... I agree with you, the stabilizer is not too good looking. But if you remove it, underneath the barrel is not too good looking either... perhaps if the barrel was cut back and dished?

It will be interesting to see if it outperforms the average AR180B in the accuracy department...they're about the same price.
