I have been snooping around the ruger web sight and kind of took a shinning to the new bolt action with the stock insert I am looking for the 22win mag anybody have them in stock on ontario. Dutch

I've only seen the LR advertised,no magmums yet.According to the Ruger website they're also available in 17 HMR.

I checked one out in Red Deer a couple weeks ago and was quite impressed by it. Smooth operation and the barrel seems a bit thicker than standard sporter contour. It almost followed me home except that it was the compact model and the lop was too short to be comfortable for my big orangutan arms.

I had a good look at one today at the local shop.

They even let me take it down and get a real nice look at it!

There's a keyed bedding block in the stock, so no need to bed the rifle, the trigger is very similar to the savage acu-trigger found on the MK2. Light and with the "accu" tab.....

It takes 10/22 mags so that's a wnner in my book.

I spoke for the compact one, I'll pick it up tomorrow.

Overall I'm very impressed for $350! Certainly a heck of a lot better fit and finish of the new savage B-mag (the new 17 sooper duper mag)......

PS, it uses the same Ruger 10-22 mag release we all know and love. It looks like it will take any aftermarket offering for the 10-22 as well.....

I picked up one in Nanaimo over the weekend. I'm kind of new to guns but really liked it - shots nice and smooth and the magazine is really easy to use. I'm now looking for somewhere that can sell the compact stock. This should make it a bit easier for my son to reach the trigger.
