New! Ruger RPR rimfire trainer!

No. Mag capacity are based on what the magazine is designed for, not what it’s used in.

Very cool trainer. I haven’t shot the American rimfire, are users finding them accurate?

Mediocore accuracy. It's good enough for gophers but I found mine to be less accurate than the savage mkii and my new cz455. On paper it should have been awesome. I was underwhelmed.

This is not the American action, it is a new design that mimics the ergos of a short action centre- fire. The American uses a typical rimfire action.

I use McMillan stocks, so my CZ455 has a Boyd Tacticool modified with wheel weights and Bondo.

I can see this selling, but if it's over 1k, not a lot.

not to sure on that one

M14s running 10 round magazines designed for the AIA Lee Enfield rifles, ARs running 10 round LAR pistol or 50 Beowulf mags, etc. All legal and good, the wording of the Act is pretty clear.

I was impressed with my friend's one's accuracy

Did you compare it to anything else? Trust me I wanted to like it, cheap plentiful 1022 mag compatibility, the raised cheekpiece, buis, easy to find weaver accessory rail, there were many things about that rifle I liked. But in comparison against my old savage mkii or 2 of my friends savage mkii or my new cz455 this was lacking, who knows maybe your friends gun shot better than mine.

Really? A lot of the featuresets on this and even the receiver looks identical to a RAR, the bolt throw adjustment is different not sure how that even works and instead of a tang safety it rocks a ar style safety, largely though this looks like a redone RAR with a chassis and heavy barrel, I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

It doesn't even have to be that accurate. If you scale your practice targets correctly, you can still simulate any size match targets easily.

The barrel uses an AR style interface amd headspace gauges... pretty sure the American is pressed fit..but I may be wrong.

Interesting, yes the RAR is press fitted then I believe there is a cross pin to hold it there. Alright sounds like this will have some substantial changes. Let's see if it pays off.

According to the website, the chassis is molded synthetic; a little bit of a let-down for me. Considering the price, I suppose a machined alloy chassis is a bit of wishful thinking.

Synthetic is no go, might as well slap an MDT rimfire on a savage mkll and you would be ahead, it should do a decent trainer.

Would be fairly close to this in price when finished but if this fails to perform as expected it would be the way to go. Except replace mkii with cz455

His RAR compact with a sporter barrel is less accurate than my heavy barrel laminate MKII. But I think compared to a stock, sporter barrel MKII it'd be about equal. Plus it doesn't jack up on extraction like my MKII does.
