The 66 is/was a 19 is SS. $849US MSRP is kind of pricey though.
MIM parts are irrelevant if you're thinking they're not as strong. Ruger whole business is based on MIM parts.
Really want one too. The 2014 Shot Show S&W topic also showed a "Combat Magnum" version with some really cool mixing of bluing (or darker parts). Doubt we will see it anytime soon but I am hopeful all the same.
I have a 686 6" . Its a different frame than the 66, but it is one of my favorit 357s. It is, actually my youngest daughters favorit gun. I wish i could justify a 66.
