I purchsed my Savage from Wholesale 2 weeks ago. I've been really impressed with the .17HMR but would like some feedback on ammunition selection.
So far I've tried the Federal polymer tips, speer HP's, and some Hornady's. The ballistics on the 2 Federal rounds are pretty much equal; but the polymer tips which I used to sight the scope in performed drastically different than the Federal speer HP's. The speer's are consistently shooting about 10" high and to the right. I've never had much luck with Federal ammo, but I haven't found anything else to try. I've been looking for some Remington's. Anyone have any success with something different? Thoughts?

Hornady's usually work well. I read somewhere that initially they were all made at the same place. I don't know if this is true or not though.

Yes, I believe they are all made at the same place, with different colored tips put on and in different boxes... ammo is going to vary in accuracy due to different lot numbers though.
