I just bought a new Savage Mark II F, took it out for the first time on the weekend, had many failure to fires. It looks like the firing pin is not making much of a dent in the rim at all. I compared it to my .17 and other .22 and they have a much more pronounced dent. It isn't the ammo either, the ammo fired fine in the other .22 I had out.
I'm going to call the gun shop where I bought it tomorrow, but just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem. Is Savage pretty good for warranty work or is it up to the dealer?
I don't want to have to send it back to Savage for a long period, gopher season is here. Would they send me a whole new bolt assembly? Kinda doubt it.
