Not sure if this has been asked before but reading specs on 10fcp comes with accu stock and smooth barrel nut ? My question is can these barrels be swapped like regular stock models and if so what would be used to remove nut ?

I believe the new Savage smooth barrel nut uses a spanner type wrench with pins? I haven't seen one, but from what I understand, the holes in the bolt are visible when you remove the barreled action from the stock.

Makes for a prettier rifle when it's all mounted up.

I looked at a couple of the new accustocks at Cabelas the other day. The sturdy feel was way superior to the older tupperware. Haven't shot any yet though.
