New Savage Target Rifles.

the part that is most frustrating is its giving me time to think (that's never good). I was convinced I wanted the 308 but now the 338 keeps staring at me and for only 400$ more and you get the muzzle break, that is very tempting other than the ammo cost lol.
 
I wonder if it is a stocking issue that's taking so long, or if it is a market issue (the old BA rifles can't sell if vendors start stocking the NEW BA Stealths for "cheaper")

Savage would stand to sell more rifles by getting out new product asap then holding them back for the sake of a few BA rifles. There is no news yet on a delivery date.
 
I would suspect that Savage has started shipping these very recent, or will within the next days/weeks. We are in full production on these. But keep in mind that it takes months just to get a new production line setup. Good things take time!
Now the question is just who they ship to first!

Why would you need pistol mags for it?
It's a bolt action rifle which has no mag restrictions.
You can get a 30 round mag if you like.

Savage and MDT typically use AICS pattern mags which are available in 10 round capacity.
