New Savage

My new Savage 12 VLP .223 7" twist arrived today! Just waiting for the Farrell base and Falcon Menace scope for this baby to arrive.

Here it is out of the box.

Here it is in a Bell & Carlson stock I had waiting for it.

The hard part will be waiting until the weekend when I will finally have time off to get to the range.

Savage says these triggers can be adjusted down to 1.5 lbs. Both rifles came out of the box with the triggers set quite low (maybe 2 to 2.5 lbs). The triggers were perfect for me right out of the box, I haven't had to do anything with them.

Wholesale Sports. They were showing two in their system, one in Calgary and one in Edmonton. I got the one that was in Calgary.

The 12VLP and 12BVSS are the same except for the stock. They both have laminated stocks but are different in their shape. The 112BVSS is the long action version.

Thanks. I have a 112BVSS in .25-06 that shoots like a dream. Got a three shot group of 0.486" @ 185 yds. I'm happy.
