New Savages in .250 and .300 Sav.

Savage 14 American Classic

Hello All;
I bought one of these rifles this past June in 250 Sav. I have put less than a box of factory ammo through it thus far. This guns shows a lot of promise right out of the box! My shooting skill will probably not do the rifle any justice. LOL... I haven't had the opportunity to to do any load development as of yet. I will get going on that shortly. I also have two other Savage 99's and a Ruger M77 in 250 Savage. I was fortunate to have a Father that introduced me to Savage lever guns when I was very young so I grew up with a deep attachment to 250 Sav's. No pics as of yet. Very nice Ruger there Boo and some pretty good shooting too! Regards,MC

An older friend was at the range yesterday with a bolt action Savage model 40 in 250 Savage.

It was quite accurate with iron sights and he's 69 years old! The only problem was the front sight was worn down so he couldn't adjust the elevation to where he wanted it. Removeable magazine too!

We are out scouting this weekend and a Savage 99C 308 is travelling with me. Much lighter than the Ruger 77MK II and about as accurate. The Ruger is backup.
