I like the quality of my meostar but Ive been looking for something with a bit more magnification, I see this 6-24x56 on their website slated for release the end of this year. I think it may be a contender to the top end zeiss leupolds or swarovskis, and would like to see it up against a NF.

Ill have to get a big piggy bank and start saving.

BTW, am I the only one who gets excited for this kinda stuff? :rockOn:

Heck no I get excited when I see the new Hawke models that are 1/3rd the money. FS

I think that some of the optics from China are beginning to reach a level of quality that will make them competitive to some of the brands that have been the standard for many years now.

That being said, I will admit, that I will not be one of the brave souls who give these new offerings a try.
However I will be open minded to reviews that others will give for these products.

Personally I am getting a bit tired of paying a premium for some scope brands who seem to feel that the legendary name is worth an extra 40% over scopes of similar quality/features.

Ain't I the fool:redface::redface::redface:

I got Meopta confused with another line of optics. Was looking at higher magnification glass back in the spring for a long range .260 Rem build that never got off the ground.

Wonder what price range the scope that the OP was talking about will retail for.

Shot in the dark would be $1500-2500

made in the czech republic. They make glass for zeiss, Have a look at the reviews. They are a good low light scope, and priced a bit more competitively than zeiss. My 3-12X56 is great but it doesnt quite stretch far enough, which is why the new model looks interesting...
