New scope day

Yesterday I picked up a new vortex scope from williams arms in port perry,
this is my first vortex product and so far I am impressed! It's a dimondback Hp in 3-12x42 I wanted somthing for my 270wsm that had both, close range and a bit longer range capibilitys I have both 3-9 and 4-12 scopes on other rifles and hope this new scope covers both those.
the price was just over 400$ plus tax, in the box was a 3 inch sun Shade, a set of covers and a lens cloth

, I will get out over the weekend and shoot it, I will let you guys know what I think of it then too!

I just ordered the 4-16x44 Viper HST with VMR MOA reticle. I should have it on my gun and should be shooting with it, this time next week

Let us know how that works out for you because Im looking at picking one of those up here right away.

EDIT: Sorry shooter for the lil derail. I was thinking of picking up a new DB 4x16, but I now thinking of getting something with exposed turrets now.

Have you played with the scope to see how it tracks yet? I am looking for some information on that before I pull the trigger on this one.
