Hey! New to all this and just thought I'd post some pics of my first setup, a couple of my best groups so far and a few types of ammo that have worked well and not so well.
I got myself a Savage MkII synthetic stock with a Bushnell Rimfire scope - 9x32 or something, I'm not really sure how it's measured and I didn't pay attention to it before I threw out the box (it was the only scope in stock..)
The two groups on the paper are at 50 yds and with CCI .22LR standard velocity (1070fps?) - I found this to be the best ammo for the gun, out of several others. The others that didn't work were Federal Champion, Remington .22 Subsonic HP, American Eagle, Winchester SuperX copper plated HP & LRN. The one with the flyer off to the top left was actually a (successful) shot at an unfortunate fly that landed on the paper which I was super proud of seeing as I've only been to the range a couple times.
The second group is 10 shots through a 1/2" hole at 50yds from benchrest - CCI 22 ammo.
I'm super excited that I found CCI's 22 shotshells. For no reason whatsoever I really want to just try these at the range
