New shadow II owner questions

Just picked up a shadow II in 9mm and looking for info. I’m new to handguns and am looking for advice on my CZ.
First is there first procedures I should follow before I head to the range? Tear down and clean? Do you clean your gun after every session?
Also anyone shooting this gun have recommendations on particular brands of cartridge they like for this gun?

Take the slide off and make sure its clean, then put some oil or grease on the rails and outside of the barrel where it contacts other parts that's about it. As for cleaning after every trip depends how rounds you shoot and how anal you're about a clean gun

I don't have a hard rule other than I field strip every new gun I get to perform a visual inspection and make sure nothing is broken or bent straight from the factory. Also it helps to get to know your way around the gun. If I like what I see as far as oil, I leave it. If it's dry or it seems like it's got preservative/packing grease instead of oil I will clean and oil it to my liking. Every gun is different.

Clean it as often as you want, but know that it doesn't need to be done very often unless you are dropping it in mud regularly. Seriously. I clean mine seldom. I lube occasionally. But when I get a new one, I run it 2000 rounds before I trust it, and that's 2000 rounds after I inspect it, and lube it, then no more lubing or cleaning until it has fired 2000 rounds trouble free. Once it's done that I again inspect it, maybe clean it, and lube it. After that, it maybe gets cleaned every 8000-12,000 rounds, lubed every 1500 or so, maybe.
