New shipment of Chinese SKS

is 7.62 still available the way it used to be? Specifically wondering if the great pool f surplus out there is at the absolute end of it's shelf life?

As a long term (ie. inter-generational play) is the trusty sks still a viable option?

Plenty of surplus ammo at ~$450 a crate is available. Also new Norinco red box can easily be found at ~$0.50/rd

Many combloc countries still make it for their AK-Ms, and each year more of it shelf life expires and goes to the surplus market. Should not dry up for years yet to come.

not bad. intl sup also has them at $500. today italian sport posted a thread and its at $520.

i just noticed that intl shooting sup has bumped their online price to $590. i think thats the highest in the country. :( sad.

italian is still holding steady at $520.

Got my handpicked from Italian. Fantastic condition. I'm not even going to clean it from cosmo for now, just keep as is.

I've been shooting ammo from the 60s - Romainian 'red stripe' still OK, and some Czech of the similar vintage. And the SKS is viable until the Liebs go after more semis.

Battle proven rifle. The sks will be taking souls well after we are all gone. Can’t get anything that well made for double the price.

Only the ones that get turned in.

I guess you weren't around or interested when the LGR was IMPOSED ON CANADIANS???? At least 50% of the firearms purchased before its implementation were never registered and many magicly appeared the day after the CPC, HARPER LED GOVERNMENT repealed the LGR regulations.

Indeed, these seem to be unissued. Got mine at Cabela’s. Likely 1978 production. Very light storage marks. Otherwise near perfect.

i see its still on sale for $450 and no stores have them. must order online (free shipping).

i checked last week and none of the stores had them. just now, half of them got them but not Abbotsford.

You want to buy another one? Or 2, 3? I heard Tenda has the best price.

Buy something with quality. I bought a HK SL8 today, Very excited. Excellent sale at SFRC. All stores sell for 2,399 but they have 14 % off and a payment option. That's what I call a black Friday sales price.
