New Shooter, new gun needing to be shot.

Hello all,

I am new to recreational shooting. I am now licensed and own a handgun. I will be joining the the Smiths Falls Fish and Game Club as soon as my schedule allowes me to make it out to one of their monthly meetings. I am wondering if there are any ranges in the ottawa area that allow walk in Handgun shooting or, if there is anyone out there that would be willing to bring me out as a guest to put a few rounds through my new gun.

I live in Carleton PLace.

Hey Taylor, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you're going to need to get an LATT before you can take your gun out to the range to shoot it and to do so, you need to be a member of a range. Welcome to CGN.

Welcome! There is an indoor range at the RA centre off Riverside drive. You will need a membership for RA centre 46$ per year, then a gun club membership 225$ per year. You will also need to register for the handgun safety course 50$ to be allowed to shoot on the range. It is only given once a month and fills up fast! You can shoot every monday night from 7-10 and every other saturday from 9-noon.
