I took my 11 yr. old grandson out this afternoon for his first time ever. I took some time to explain safety, etiquette, how the rifle works (457 Canadian), how to hold a rifle and sight through a scope. We shot at a tin can for a while, then headed to a gopher patch. I showed him my method with the little stool and a camera tripod. We were out foe a couple hours, but the tall grass kind of crimped our style. The young feller did really well for a first timer. We each smoked maybe a dozen or more.

These are the posts I love the most. Just had a 40 plus year friend at my house on Saturday. He has some kindah dirty cancer on the stem of his brain. I could type out the 13 letter name but it doesnt really matter. Shot some guns for a few hours and to see the grin and enjoyment on his face was priceless. Hes becoming very hard to understand when he speaks and has given me all his firearms to sell. A few were very easy. A mint 9422M XTR he bought new without a mark on it. Ruger 44 mag that purchased new in the late eighties I believe! Not trying to be a sour puss but just showing as the old reach their time someone new is filling the shoes. Kudos on you for introducing a new shooter too the sport. NICE kjohn

...skwerl
Hey skwerl, might need to pick ur brain about the value of a stevens model 12 Marksman in 32 rim short. One full box of 50 CIL in really great shape and 10 or so rounds in great shape with a beat up box. Stocks been refinished but the blueing is extremely nice. Owned by his brother for 65 years. PM me pal or text at 613 802 0239
