I'm looking at switching ranges this April to an outdoor range. I was looking to get into some "precision shooting" with a rimfire. I was looking at a CZ 455 or Savage MkII-TR or other model. If any of you want to chime in on rifle or optics, please so, as I'm completely new to this.
However, my primary question is this: 17HMR or .22 lr?
I know there is a significant cost difference between the two, but how are ballistics? Will one be better suited to practice precision shooting? What is the range like on either one?
