New shotgun defense loads

Buy a bunch of the stuff that interests you, then go out and pattern it at realistic ranges and see which product is the most effective from your barrel. You might also devise targets which allow you to compare the terminal effectiveness of the new loads with what you've been shooting up till now. Trying new stuff out is half the fun of being in this game.

The internet has spawned millions of "experts" but you should never depend on what you read in those posts, especially if the poster is giving an opinion based on beliefs and not actual ballistic and terminal testing, whether it take place on the range or in the lab.

I have been looking for some PD loads aswell, I haven't found any centurion in canada and I have seen the winchester PDX1 at an affiliate website but It's never in stock. Any leads as to where to purchase these would be appreciated.

seems like a reloading experiment to try. A 7/8 lee slug and 2 "00" buck for a 1 1/8 load

use 1 7/8 oz slug and 3 .320/0 buck and use 1 1/4oz shot data put the buck in the bottom of the wad with a thin 20ga card wad and then the slug

^^^ the only problem is that I only have the 1oz slug mold.

What recipe do you use for your load? (primer, wad, hull, powder?)
