ok, so i got a bunch of bird shot waterfowl ammo in a trade deal, so instead of trying to sell i figured id buy a new gun and take up another season of hunting..lol

im wanted to keep a hard ceiling of 1300 ( keeps me out of the dog house)

what would you guys and gals recommend for a semi auto in that price point, and yes, that number is fixed and hard its currently in my pocket so thats max budget..lol

Can't help with your search but will say, you seem like a man after my own heart. Like the guy that finds a hubcap in the ditch then goes searching for a car to buy that it fits. Happy hunting and I hope you find just what you are looking for.

I would 100% just check the EE every day and get a feel for what is out there and what you like. I wouldn't expect to buy anything for 2 weeks.

As stubblejumper said,.. Winchester SX3, SX4,.. or Browning Silver. Browning Silver would be my first choice. If you shop around you should be able to get one of these new within your budget.

I'm not sure but the Winchester SX4 and Browning Silver are basically the same guns with different looks... ?

I shot a Silver 12 ga and a Weatherby SA-08 20 ga quite a bit and like them both the same for handling, reliability and craftsmenship.

The Silver and SX-3/4 have the same internals, different cosmetics, and slightly different fit.

Yes they have the same workings,.. IMO the Silver is better looking, better fitting. I have 2 Browning Gold Hunters, they have the same workings too,.. I have used the Gold since 1997 and never had it fail once, great working shotgun.

Another vote for the SX3 or SX4, had one for a couple years very reliable and never found anything it wouldn't cycle, bought myself a Xmas present Beretta A400 Extreme and sold the SX4, had it listed on here and the AO about a month ago, it sold in less than 1 day.
