New shotguns, MAG-FED and SHORTIES - NEW PICS

Yeah, it's a sweet little foreend. $39.00, if you happen to be south of the border.

Chris, let me know if you're interested, and I'll drop it off with you at this weekends, HACS show.

I would appreciate it. Looks nice. Are the side rails aluminum?

No, they are made of the same reinforced polymer composite as the rest of the grip, though probably exchangeable for aluminium.

The actual grip is the FAB AG 44S Canted Ergonomic Foregrip, as well as an SJ Hardware Bayonet mount on his custom mag extension.:D

QUestion:
Do the handles and flashlights, etc taht people mount on those rails need to be mounted on the weaver pattern or is it just the dovetail that secures it to the rail?

Thanks,
-Tyler

Dook: to remove the barrel off of any of the 870 style shotguns, with gun unloaded, you rack the slide about 1/4 to 1/2 way back, then remove the large cap on the end of the magazine tube, then pull barrel straight foreward . To remove the plastic foreend off to replace with some other fore end requires a special tool ( fore end wrench). There are a couple of styles and they can be improvised. To get an idea of how they look or work do a search of " foreend wrench" at www.brownells.com. Good luck.

I knew it wasn't so easy. Thanks.I saw Chris at the HACS show today, and bought a grip fore end. Got the grip stock on easy enough. Looks way cooler now.

Got a question about the 12.5" that comes with both pistol and regular stock. Browsing the posts, it looks like installing the pistol grip will make the overall length under the necessary 26" to remain non-restricted.

...or is it because it's a factory part, it won't matter? ...and only when you modify with a knoxx or something else do you have to maintain the 26" minimum length?

Allan! (sorry... way too many posts to read every one)

The short version is that it's still non-restricted since you're not using a folding/telescoping/collapsable stock to bring it under 26". Somehow, due to the wording of the law, a pistol grip does not apply. There is a court case ongoing that will have the final say, but for now it's ok.

The length law pertains to 'folding' or modifying a stock to a shorter length. There is a court case currently being fought by Joe Dlask over the RCMP's fipflop over their own ruling on the matter. Currently it is legal. Even if it is classified as restricted, you have 28 days to report a modification to the CFO, so change it back to the regular stock on the 27th day, then the clock is reset. In 'short' don't lose your regular stock...umkayyy?

hahaha doublespeak!
