New shotguns, MAG-FED and SHORTIES - NEW PICS

The Spec Ops M4 ftype older is said to be a tad too short folded. This one has a spring in the handle, not in the stock. It slides open and closed M4 style. So I was thinking that the PVC would prevent it from becoming too compact with a 12.5inch. I believe this model does not compress when shot, but I could be wrong.

I see - so you mean you want to force the stock to stay longer.

Can't see how that would be a problem, if it was a PERMANENT mod. Like pinning a mag.

But are you sure? It seems to me like it should be long enough without doing that. Even collapsed it's a decent length. How short is it? Could you put a slightly larger recoil pad on it? :D

I'm no expert, but I'm told it is 1/4 inch too short. The recoil pad is part of the design.

Well i'd have to dig into it - but i'd guess if it can exchange recoil pads (and you'd expect it would - what if one wore out. In fact i think they mention it can be removed) and put a custom ground pad like a pachmyer on with maybe a spacer or two you'd be over the oal. And pads count when measuring right? A quarter inch isn't much. And you'd have some seriously psycho recoil reduction at that point :D You'd be lucky if the gun didn't jump FORWARD when you fired.

So, I'm thinking of buying one of these for canoe trips and size is important. With the chance that the pistol grips might make these 12.5" one restricted b/c of current court stuff, I'm wondering what the OAL of one is with the stock on. Any close estimates? If it's too much bigger than 26" that might make it to big for my pack...

I should definitely be buying one if they stay non-restricted with the pistol grip installed.

Last month I visited Al Simmons in Hamilton. They have a full row of pistol grip shotgun for sell - what's wrong with that?

I'd like to know who gave you those measurments cause they sound wrong to me. My buddy has the spec ops folder and it is 27 inches exact with a 14inch barrel. There is no way the M4 compressed would be under 26 inches with a 12.5. The barrel is only 1.5 shorter than the 14' my buddy has and the M4 stock is much longer. I bet it' sover 28 inches not compressed and adjusted to it's shortest setting. Even if that thing compressed 2 inches (which I doubt) it should still fit.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but can you add the pistol grip to the 12.5 and pack it non-restricted?

Thanks Doc.

Right now, yes you can. But there is an on-going court battle to see if they are gonna change the law so that you can't have the pistol grip on. Or so I understand.

I'm not sure that's the court battle. I think the court battle may be about the recent re-classification of the dlask-brand-named short shottie as 'restricted'. Along with their pump action rifle.

The court battle is whether or not a pump shotgun with a barrel less than 16" and a pistol grip is a handgun, or not. Currently the RCMP lab says they are handguns.

Correct, 'least by my 'reconnin...
Didn't want to put #'s into anyone's mouth...Your Math May Vary...
I also have the Konxx Copstock Folder, as well as the Breachers Grip...but I'm waitin' for various pieces of ordinance to hit the shores before I play around w/ mounting options....

Can anyone tell me what the exact differences (if any) with the Dominion Arms shotguns and an actual 870?

For example, the Norinco's appear to have some metric threads and make it that much harder to instal say XS Sight Systems sights, as well as a few other differences.
Any info appreciated.
