New shotguns, MAG-FED and SHORTIES - NEW PICS

What choke does the 12.5 come with .... and are you guys putting slugs through it, or getting different chokes?

Comes with a modified choke, the ones without choke seem to group pretty well at closer ranges, have not tried shooting slugs through a choked one, but should be tighter at longer ranges.

how accurate is the order history at canadaammo.com ?? my order says processed. does that mean it hasnt shipped yet? or could it be in my mail box?

i was thinking of buying a ported cyl. bore choke for my grizz... figured the ported chokes stick out from the end of the barrel so it should help protect the barrel from damage.

..As the friendly giant always said, "look up......waaaaay up!"

post 1505.

:slap:

That's nice, but I'm not interested in getting a free circumcision.
The original question stands; does the 12.5 take magnum shells up to 3'?
A sufficient answer would be: "Yes, the 12.5 takes magnum shells up to 3' ".

The last 12.5 I had said 2 3/4" 3" on the barrel.
Sufficient answers contain enough information to base an opinion upon.
I believe your question was answered.

Well that ain't cool, I ordered mine back in July, no email. Oh well it'll be here when it gets here.

I never got an email with the tracking# either. Login and check your order status, if it says complete click on it and it will give you an invoice with your tracking# at the bottom. That's how i got mine

ok after reading all 1529 post I now have no choice but to add to my collection... going to be ordering both a 12.5 and a 18.5 MAG (finally a reason to order S&J's bayonet kit) at the end of the week... like a need another shotgun or two.... :shotgun:

I ordered my June 27..it isn't here yet, although I did receive a tracking number late last week after numerous e-mails and excuses..
I can't say I'm very impressed with their service so far.

CanAm is another Canadian dealer who doesn't have enough manpower. I was talking to Chris before, CanAm was one man operation not long before.

Whatever the case..there is no excuse for no or poor communication.
It take's seconds to send an e-mail to explain what is going on.
I would have no problem waiting for as long as it takes for my shotgun to arrive if I was informed from the start how long it would be.

Your right only a minute or two to answer, and a few minutes to go thru all the paper work and find your answer.

Multiply that by a few 100 customers it takes a hell of a long time just to answer questions, let alone get any work done. It will come as soon as it can. Hell I am still waiting on something from him too.

If you can't respond to paying customers and advise them of the status of their order..maybe you should rethink your business plan.
I worked in retail and wholesale for 18 years..I'm extremely familiar with what it takes to run a business and how much time and effort is involved.
I also know that #### happens.
But when you are in the retail sales business..your customers are your most important priority. Keeping them informed isn't to much to ask even if it means you have to put in some extra hours..
That's part of running a business.

Meh. I've yet to see one company that successfully goes from small org to medium sized without these kinds of growing pains.

You're right in many ways - and i'm sure he'll address it as time goes on, but it's entirely to be expected given the growth and success of the orders.

Two things kill businesses dead - shrinking too fast and growing too fast :) both are difficult to deal with.

I'm sure he's aware of the criticisms and he'll address them over time. This ain't the first time we've seen this kind of thing.

Another thing to keep in mind is, he can't just go hire some kid from the streets to help.
I would imagine he would have to be very selective in anyone he has helping him there.
The bottom line is, we should be supporting anyone who tries to make a go of it in the Canadian Firearms business. Where else are you going to find what he has brought in here?

I agree Foxer and hopefully I'll know in the next couple of days if my issue has been resolved.
I will say though that almost 2 months is sufficient time to fix your communication problems.
Small business owners have to put in long hours for little return in the first few years..it comes with the turf.
If you go into it thinking it will be a part time gig yet work to grow your business..you need to be prepared for those long hours before they arrive..
Playing catch up does nothing but piss off your customers and hurt your reputation.

Like I mentioned previously..a short e-mail explaining that they were running behind would have done wonders.
I'll leave it at that.
Suffice to say if my shotgun doesn't arrive soon as promised..I will post the whole story.

I am very diligent about answering emails. They are almost always answered within the same day. Striker, I cannot understand why you have not received an email unless your email is bouncing or I am not receiving them. As I do not know who you are by your CGN handle, I cannot say. If email fails, please try calling us 10-6 PDT. We do our very best, but sometimes it is not perfect.

PS, we also have skype at the left for instant chat.
