New shotguns, MAG-FED and SHORTIES - NEW PICS

If i was getting the mag fed 18.5" could i get it with a removable choke ie have the barrel swapped at canam and not have to buy an extra barrel?
also would i need the clip pinned to hunt birds or could i just have a few plugs of some sort?
 
mag fed semi 8.5 inch

I am holding out for the mag fed 8.5 inch semi auto. I already have the 12.5 inch, 15 inch mag fed.

When in 2009 would the 8.5 inch mag fed semis be produced and available?
Is this available with the heat shield?

Can your new Grizzlies, with the "screw-in modified chokes" be used with Brenneke slugs, or other "hard" slugs?

Does "screw-in" mean it can be un-screwed and removed, to have no choke?

Very nice stuff, CanAm. I would buy a 12.5" mag-fed without a second thought, if ever it became available (Buying a second shotgun for the barrel kind of detracts from the attractive price, I'm afraid).

On a side note: Once things settle down a bit, a non-restricted 9mm carbine would be an absolute dream for all parties (hoplophobics aside, of course).

Actually... I might consider getting an 8.5 inch for my father's boat...

Oh right. Was the ballistics test mentioned a few hundred posts ago that concluded that a 12 gauge shell's powder was entirely burnt with a 12 to 13 inch barrel done with 3" shells or 2 3/4"?

I haven't gone through the entire thread, but am interested in either getting a 12.5" with sights or possibly an 8.5" pump model. Can we expect the 8.5" in the near future? What do we know about choke options or the availability of sights on the 8.5" model. I'm leaning towards a 12.5" model but don't want to see the 8.5" arrive the following week and second guess my decision.

The 8.5" is more interesting by virtue of its novelty (I have nothing else like it), while the 12.5" with the sights, choke tube and sling mounts sounds a lot more versatile than my HP9.
 
So I am expecting an 18.5" mag fed folder with three mags and a flashlight forend any day now. I decided to try and quench my anticipation by reading over 1700 posts on this thread. I did about half last night and the other half tonight. LOL

So how were you lucky enough to get the third mag?
Everyone else was capped at 2, one with the gun and one extra...

Where the heck is CanAm on this mag issue???


I was able to get 3 total, but I ordered on the first day and snuck in just before he placed a limit. I would like to get a few more so I can play in IPSC shotgun.
 
So I received my package today. Very fast shipping. I highly recommend badboybeeson!

Thanks to the youtube video I easily took the shotgun apart cleaned it up and sprayed it down with some G96. The gun cycles fine and ejects the shells nicely. Only problem I have is the front swivel gets in the way of the flashlight forend when I try to cycle the shotgun. Anyone know how to take that swivel off without cutting it? Here are a couple of pics...
