I finally finished paying off my Sig P226 SS Elite (.40 S&W), and wanted to give kudos to Wolverine Supply, particularily Guy. This is the second pistol I have purchased from them, and I am really impressed with their friendliness and customer service. Package came today, with a bunch of brochures from Marlin, Savage, Remington and H&R, now I want to buy more stuff! Not that I will be able to for quite some time now, but Thanks Guy.....! Anyway, the new Sig is beautiful, and I can't wait to take it to the range and give it a good break in. My oldest daughter saw it and her eyes lit right up, so she had to do the 'Charlie's Angel' pose with it. Hey, when you have 4 beautiful daughters, you can't have enough pictures of them with guns! I told her the Sig made her more attractive.....she failed to see the humor. If she only knew I was being serious.....:)

More pics of both!

Nope. She's marrying age, and there are days I can't wait to get her out the door, so long and areevaderchi, but I'm not advertising either.

I will consider trades on Sigs, AR-15s, and other quality firearms from an acceptable party though....I think the custom of dowry should be reinstituted. :)

A dowry is the money, goods, or estate that a woman brings to a marriage.

Well that sucks.......all that time and money spent raising them up right, and I'm supposed to send gold and Sigs along with them? Not happening.....I still think I should get something out of the deal!

Supposedly you get rid of "the burden", and that's what the gold is for.

And I would let you keep your new Sig ! Your daughter is a looker... ;)

Note to self: Don't post pictures of your daughter(s) on Nutz anymore......

For the record, she will be a lot more high maintenance than a Sig. Just saying.

I have only one daughter and she is 5 so I have a few years yet before I have to worry about this but... I cannot wait to have the chance to clean my firearms at the kitchen table when she brings potential boyfriends over :p

On a more important note.. how do you like the elite? I have an enhanced elite myself and love it. I really like the looks of the stainless elite but I find the wood grips to be HUGE.

Well, this is Sig #5 for me, and I haven't had a chance to even shoot it yet (waiting for 1000 rds from SFRC, plus some .45 and .357)....anyway, I don't have particularily large hands, but never had any issues with the various Sig grips. Yes, comparatively they are bigger than alot of other makes. A friend has a Jericho in 9mm, and it is positively petite in the hand, and I don't care for it. The new SS Elite feels very nice in my hand, though I am a bit surprised to find the DA trigger pull a bit heavier than my others (Sig P226 in 9mm, P220 Equinox, 1911 Stainless Carry, Mosquito). I expect that the weight of the SS will help with recoil/muzzle flip. Fit and finish is awesome, and I really like the beavertail on it. I really like the E2 grips as well though, I think that a P229 E2 in 9mm will be in order to finish the collection some day, but not for quite a while.

As an aside, I bought a pair of checkered Hogue grips for my other P226, in Cocobola.....and that makes for a verrrrry thick grip. Again though, I don't mind the thickness in hand when shooting, but took them off because I found it made getting the mag release difficult, I was reaching for it instead of just punching it with the thumb. I'm looking forward to shooting the Elite, I expect good things from it. As far as looks go, it is definately my favorite so far, although the Equinox and 1911 are also very nice looking IMO.
