I just bought a new Sig 1911 22 and have been playing with the gun with snap caps and have found that magazines will not drop after a "round "is fired and the slide locks back. When I press the mag release nothing happens, however I can pry them out with my finger, and once I get them started they fall right out. It does this with Both mags . The weird part is that if I move the slide back even a hair while depressing the eject button, they will drop right out . The other weird part is that if you just put the mag in with the slide back but not fired they will fall out with no problem. Is this normal for these sig /gsg s?

Out of the mags I got with the pistol, one does as you mentioned. Ordered 4 more OEM SIG mags from Brownell's when they were on sale and all those 4 are good.

I have been looking at the dodgy one to see if there is a slight difference somewhere, but visually, nothing. Have not hit it with the dial calipers yet to measure it.
That drag when first having to pull it out of the frame suggests a slight fitment issue to me.

Yeah cause it seems like when I rack the slide back it's hanging on the mag instead of the slide stop. Maybe once I start shootings it will wear in . Don't think I'm gonna go through the hassle of warranty for this .

My wife's has a small burr at the top of the interior of the magwell that will hang up her mag from time to time, thanks for reminding me, I need to get off my lazy ass and file it down, have a look, might be your problem

A couple of my mags had the same problem. They wore in and are fine now. I think they over do the paint on the inside of the magwell and it just needs to wear off a few layers. Check to see if there are any wear marks on your mags.

Mine is doing same thing. Talked to guy at club tonight with a GSG and he said he took brass brush and aggressively cleaned out the magazine hole in grip. Then he inserted magazine and popped out about 150 times and problem solved. It seems like a wear in issue

I've gone through about 500 rounds now and it's still doing it. I think it's the little indent on the back of the magazine follower that's hanging on the bolt .
