The new design looks pretty sweet. Surprising you dont see X5 all around being used as game guns really at all. The price is steep, but there are many who spend much more on standard and open guns, hell even some of the tangfoglios in production div. would rival the sig in price.

There are a few good post on those new models from the IWA 2013 show in germany on sigforum.

From what I can see they seem to get away from the P226 platform so the X-Serie has it's own signature. Can't wait to see those IRL, I love my custom shop SIG :)

mostly the bore axis, I love my 229 but it does have alot more torque than similar guns that have a lower bore axis.

I had kind of given up on my226... I love the styling of these, hopefully they have worked out the kinks. I remember getting excited about the first gen of X5's for IPSC Production ... and then reading the many threads about extractor problems.

If I'm going to spend more than $2k on a pistol, it should run any ammo out of the box.

Excitement rekindled, lets see how they perform.

Wow, it's been a while since I've heard the "X5 Extractor Problem thing". Some owners may have had some problems but they are few and far between. I've had 2 X5's and they eat every thing, never a problem after thousands of rounds, of all types, including re-loads. The OPP TRUE teams are issuing the X5 as well, surprise surprise no extractor problems.
Short answer if you are going to spend $2k on a Sig X5 it will run any ammo out of the box.
